A Pretty Girl's Beer Diary
This blog is about my journey into the world of beer. As a woman, I feel like we are kind of left out of the beer scene. I want to try EVERY beer and I want to learn about what makes it so yummy, or so yuck! Ride along on my journey which will be full of drunken stories that might not be my proudest moments, but I assure you will be entertaining. You might find a new favorite brew, or hell, you might learn something you didn't know before! Cheers!!

First day of 2012, toasted with
First day of 2012, toasted with Memphis' local brewery's baby, Ghost River Pale Ale. I'm a Pale Ale fan, but I'd say the majority of people aren't huge fans. It's a very flavorful, but very bitter beer. It has a strong after taste. Put me in a positive buzz mood. Calm, yet focused & ready to concur the world. Ghost River Brewery from Memphis, TN, I salute thee! Thank you for helping me ease into 2012. A successful 1st day.

2011 December 31st
The last day of 2011, and I can't be happier to leave it behind (for so many reasons. I'm sure I'll accidentally let them slip when I've had a few brews!). But, rather than waiting till tomorrow, I'm going to give 2012 a little insight on what it's in for!
And let the drunken-ness begin. 1:45:
Been here before, but I had to honor a delicious staple that should be in every girls "beer repertoire"- XX Dos Equis Lager XX
Enjoy this Mexican Cervesa ( that's espanol for beer people ) chilled ice cold with a lime! Light but flavorful. This beer should take the place of the oh so skunky Corona, even though I did honor Corona Beach in Jamaica with drinking one of it's own. If you like this beer or tend to go with "Ambers" more often, try XX Dos Equis Amber XX. It too is a delight! Either XX Dos Equis XX you choose, will show that you are an educated Beer-ista next Cinco De Mayo.
Salud Chicas! (Cheers Ladies!)
